It’s hard to believe, but one week ago as I write this we were only 6 hours into our 30 hour telethon. At the time it seemed like we’d come so far, but I knew we still had a hard 24 hours ahead of us. With some determination, careful planning, good company and wonderful sponsors and volunteers we managed to make it through all 30 hours and accomplish more than we’d hoped to.
Now that we’ve had a week to sit back and gain a little perspective, gather some facts and figures and take in what we did, I thought it might be time to share a little of that with all of you:
30 hours
71,500 unique viewers
133,000 total views
1 heaping barrel full of toys
Another full of food
$5,390 raised for 3 charities (if you donated your receipt will be from Network for Good)
30+ volunteers
40+ segments
All that adds up to one giant step in the right direction for us as we start planning the next 30 Hour Day. That’s right. The Next one. People have tweeted about it, we’ve talked about it, some of our most devoted volunteers and sponsors have already signed on for it. There will be another 30 Hour Day.
What’s more, we still have auction items open and if you’re so inclined you can continue to donate!
We’re heading back to the drawing board for a while to sort out all that went fantastically right and deal with those few items that fell flat. But we’ll be back soon because we just can’t wait to do it again.
